Catherine Glaude      Keyboard & Vocals

Catherine joined the band in 2003 after hearing founding band members Dave Gluck and Matt Fortuin perform during a Parrothead charity.  Catherine decided at that moment she wanted to be a  "Cowboy" and approached the boys during their break.  Prior to joining the Calypso Cowboys, Catherine played for another Buffett tribute band called Latitude Adjustment.  The largest crowd Catherine has played before was during a Buffett concert tailgate party when Latitude Adjustment performed in the RV section of the parking lot.  Catherine began her musical career playing the baritone horn in the high school band.  Since the horn outweighed her, she ditched it for a guitar. Catherine's unusual and unconventional keyboard style is a result of teaching herself the piano from guitar chords.

During her day job, Catherine is the principal of an elementary school in Yarmouth, Maine. She has a doctorate in education and has taught elementary, middle, secondary, and college students.  She is the author of an almost popular education book and does consulting in her free time with other schools.  Handy with power tools, Catherine is skilled at home improvement projects.  She loves to golf and bike, and whines tremendously about the cold Maine winters.  Catherine lives in Pownal, a thriving suburb of North Yarmouth, with her 16 year old, bi-polar cat.  She wonders daily how long a cat can live.
